2 Call-In Positions Available:
Call-In Registered Early Childhood Educator or Early Childhood Educator Assistant
Days & Hours: 0-40 hours Monday – Friday, call in possibly leading to full time
Rate of Pay: $14.50 – $16.00
Primary Responsibilities: Develop and implement child-care programs for children 16mos to 12 years old that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children, Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest, provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity, Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor, Knowledge of the Childcare and Early Years Act 2014, Knowledge of licensing regulations, Establish guidelines for behaviour, Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children, Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
Experience Required: Experience is an asset, Experience with Special Needs Children is an asset, Some computer skills, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Credentials (an asset but not mandatory, as long as you want to work with children): Early Childhood Education Diploma
Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators
Other Requirements: Flexible schedule, On call possibly leading to full time, Occasional evenings/weekends, Ongoing Professional Development, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Medical exam, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test, Bondable, Vulnerable sector check


Days & Hours: 8 hours per week, occasionally covering Administration and Property Coordinator’s vacation.

Rate of Pay: $14.00-$16.00 depending on experience

Primary Responsibilities: Assists in the accounting operations of the Centre, including  posting entries, filing, maintaining attendance logs and participating in the payroll process, financial reporting, maintenance of adequate accounting records, comprehensive internal controls and ensuring that all financial reporting complies with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This role is responsible for assisting in the preparation of reports to the County of Lambton regarding childcare, general operating and wage subsidies and to the Board of Directors. This role may be asked to complete sundry duties as required. The bookkeeper reports to the Administration and Property Coordinator.

Credentials: Diploma from an accredited post secondary institution offering a bookkeeping or business administration course of 1 year or greater, or equivalent experience.
