Registered Early Childhood Educator Permanent Full-time or Part-Time available

Days & Hours: 40 hours per week Monday – Friday

Rate of Pay: $15.75 + $2.00 Provincial Wage Enhancement, or higher, depending on credentials and experience

Primary Responsibilities: Develop and implement, child-care programs for children 16 mos to 12 years old that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children, Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest, provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity, Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor, Knowledge of the Childcare and Early Years Act 2014, Knowledge of licensing regulations, Establish guidelines for behaviour, Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children, Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members

Experience Required: Experience is an asset, Experience with Special Needs Children is an asset, Some computer skills, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate

Credentials: Early Childhood Education Diploma, Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators

Other Requirements: Flexible schedule, On-call possibly leading to full time, Occasional evenings/weekends, Ongoing Professional Development, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Medical exam, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test, Bondable, Vulnerable sector check  

Call-In Early Childhood Education Assistant

Days & Hours: 0 40 hours Monday – Friday, call in possibly leading to full time

Rate of Pay: $15.00 + $2.00 Provincial Wage Enhancement, or more, depending on credentials and experience
